My first day 100% Raw!

Hello, I am so excited, yesterday I ate 100% raw foods. I hope to keep this up today and be one more step away from cooked foods. I have heard that you need to have a system in place to lose weight, so here is mine.

1. Eat as much raw foods as I can and start eliminating cooked foods. I did this by drinking green smoothies and finding lots of yummy alternatives to my favorite cooked foods.

2. Go 100% raw and don't look back! I did this by finding lots of yummy alternatives such as the pure bars I love their raw chocolate brownies. I have also found lots of new recipes to try in the next few weeks. This will keep me excited and motivated to stay raw.

3. My next step will be to eliminate all of the transition foods and start eating fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. My goal is to give my body the rest it needs to get healthy again.

4. Then once I am comfortable enough I will go to doing a juice feast, this will give my body the ability to really clean its self out.

I will probably bounce back and forth between steps 3 and 4 until my body is completely healthy. Then I will start adding back all of the fun and exciting new raw recipes. How long will this take I have no idea, but I know that I won't put a time limit on myself like do 100 days or something like that. I would rather just sit back relax and enjoy this adventure as it unfolds. Just remember that we are individuals and what works for one person may not work for another. Do your research and learn all that you can so you can make your own weight loss system that works for you.

Here is my most favorite website for going raw www.renegadehealth.com these guys are awesome. There are lots of videos that you can watch and learn lots of things on the raw diet. Go check it out and have fun. I will give you more great links that I have found helpful next time.

Still in transition

Hi, sorry its been awhile since I posted but I have been doing so much research into the raw diet online that I haven't had time for anything else. I think that I have been overwhelmed by so much information and so many different opinions on what is the right way to eat. Anyways I am still in transition to an all raw diet. I have been bouncing back and forth on if I should be all raw or just 75% raw. I have found that it is really hard to be on a 75% raw diet, I still get really bad cravings for junk food. So I think that I am going to go all raw, this might sound really hard or rediculous to some of you but once you see all of the really great foods you can eat you might change your mind. I think though that each person is different and should do what feels right to them. One of the best ways to get started eating more raw foods is to make green smoothies. To make a green smoothie just grab your blender and some of your favorite fruits and vegis. One of the things that I have come to realize is to just keep it simple. I tend to start to get information overload and make things way over complicated. I have picked out a few raw recipes that sound good to me and I will be trying those out in the next few weeks. One of the recipes I tried to try out today was raw nut chocolate milk but my son decided to dump the whole bottle of vanilla extract into the nut milk. Well maybe next time! Just remember its your body and no one knows it better than you do.

So yesterday I did really good but then at 8 pm last night I started craving a double cheeseburger from Mcdonalds. My whole idea is to give into my cravings but in a smaller way so all I got from Mcdonalds was a double cheeseburger. I have found that by doing this my cravings have been getting weaker and I am able to go longer through the day before I start getting cravings. So yesterday my cravings didn't hit until 8 pm, wow that is a huge difference, they use to hit at right around 3 pm in the afternoon. So tonight I am hoping that they won't hit until after I am in bed. I will let you know how it goes today.

My first day of 75% Raw

I did it I ate 75% Raw today and I feel great! I started eating healthier and jumping back on the healthy wagon about 2 weeks ago. After about a week I realized that I needed to get back to doing a raw diet but when I did this before back in March of this year it didn't work out that well for me. I think that I was trying too hard too soon. So this time I have been working more raw foods into my diet each day and in 1 week I did it! I actually ate at least 75% raw foods today, I have a long ways to go yet though. I am still having some cravings but they are slowly going away, also I need to figure more ways to eat my food.

What I ate today:
Breakfast was a green smoothie made with 2 bananas, 2 cups of spinach, blueberries and strawberries.
Snack was 2 cups of cantaloupe
Lunch was a huge salad
my husband brought home a carrot cake snack so I ate a small two bites of that.
Dinner was another huge salad but this one was green leafy salad and cooked green onions, green peppers and red pepper with fajita sauce. Yummy
Snack was 2 cups of grapes
I also will be eating an apple later tonight

I have been doing a lot of research on Raw Diet and some people are 100% raw. Although for some that may work, some of us just can't go without some cooked foods. Like any diet you need to do your homework and learn all that you can before you embark on anything. Then when you do decide to start, do it slow let your body adjust to your new food.

Well got to go change a stinky and then get on a training webinar for my business.
